The practice was founded by Dr. Jacob J. Priester in 1949 and focused on treating the “whole” person from the very beginning. Dr. John J. Priester joined his father in practice in 1980, and they worked together until his father retired from professional practice in 1993. Dr. Priester continues in his father’s footsteps by establishing harmonious relationships with other healthcare professionals in a variety of specialties, providing individualized care, and maintaining personal bonds with his patients. The Priester legacy will now be carried on by the new clinic director Dr. A.J. Plese. Dr. Plese practice style mirrors the proven techniques utilized by the Priester family. Mixing time tested techniques with the most recent research available. Dr. Plese provides safe, fast and reliable treatment for a multitude of conditions.
“My patients deserve individualized care and sometimes require a referral to another specialist (i.e., Primary Care Physician (PCP), Radiologist, Orthopedic Surgeon or Neurosurgeon). Having gained respect and trust with the medical community has allowed me the ability to easily refer my patients to these practitioners if needed.”
- Dr. Plese
Priester Chiropractic helps you reduce, control, or get rid of your pain naturally, without the use of surgery. Through the use of focused treatments, we coordinate our care to focus on creating a harmonious relationship between the spine, extremities, and overall muscular balance. Poor flexibility and muscular dysfunction can affect us physically in many ways. We strive to improve your flexibility and core strength, and educate you on proper posture and movement in your daily activities. We show you how to maintain your gains through treatment, and to eliminate new or chronic muscle complaints through specific, therapeutic massage (manual therapy) performed by licensed massage therapists, and restore normal joint function and mobility through spinal adjustments (spinal manipulative therapy, known as “SMT”).
Gentle, low-force joint mobilization techniques and instrument-assisted manipulation is utilized by Priester Chiropractic as indicated to ensure a comfortable experience for our patients. We also employ the latest knowledge in functional rehabilitation and physical therapies, including the use of therapeutic exercise, exercise prescription and program design.
